Apache 2.4-MySQL 5 & 8-MariaDB 10-PHP 5 & 7 Version 3.2.3 - 64bit
I'm running Windows 10 Pro 20H2 OS Build 19042.1288
This isn't a WAMP issue per se. I'm hoping for some feedback from those who may offer some advice that would soothe my comfort level.
I host a client's WordPress site on my VPS that was built with Elementor and, to make a long story short, is buggy; for lack of a better word.
As I see it my options are to re-create the site on an unused domain I own, back it up, wipe the clients site and restore the backup to the client's domain. However, I've seen the need to run a search and replace after a restore because the dev domain name may transfer over in links or other such areas, after the restore.
The other option would be to re-recreate the site on my local PC using WAMP, (Virtual Host) back it up and then restore to the clients domain. This seems safer to me, but I just want to check here for any feedback about using this procedure rather than a dev site.
Any feedback appreciated.
