MSSQL connection (no replies)

Has anyone gotten a good connection to MSSQL working with WAMP? I've been trying, but to no avail. They say to NOT use php_mssql any more.

Should I be using sqlsrv_connect or odbc_connect?

Can someone give me an example you know that works?
