Wampserver 3-32 is missing? (2 replies)

Hi,

While trying to download WAMPserver 3, I see that both Windows versions (64 and 32) stands for the same file (64) with the same size (421Mo)!
Actually, when I choose to download either version 64 or 32, the downloaded file is the same in both cases (version 64) and when I install the supposedly 32, I have it as 64!
So, it seems that there is no Windows32 version?
Can someone advice please, if there are two versions of wamp 3 for windows 32 and 64 or only 64?

Only two services running problem (no replies)

Hi there

First off, what a brilliant program. Have just installed it and installed a copy of Wordpress and imported a copy of the website that I am developing. However, other the main landing page, none of the other pages can be found 'on the server'. On checking, only two of the three services appear to be running. See below for the details.

State of services:

The service 'wampapache64' is NOT started
EXIT error code:1066
Help message for error code 1066 is:
The service has returned a service-specific error code.



The service 'wampmysqld64' is started

The service 'wampmariadb64' is started

The service 'dnscache' is started

WampServer (Apache, PHP and MySQL) will not function properly if any service
'wampapache64'
'wampmysqld64'
'wampmariadb64'
'dnscache'
is not started.

If anyone can help resolve this issue, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

Error 403 does not solve in wamp 3! (1 reply)

Hi,

I have already installed WAMPserver v3.1-x86 on Windows but while the installation is OK, I cannot access the server to install Wordpress!
The following error 403 message persists whatever the grant or allowance options I made in the config file (httpd.conf):


"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Apache Server at wordpress Port 80"


Actually, I tried to change all the instances of "Require local" in the Apache config file "httpd.conf" into "Require all granted" and then restart ALL WAMP services, but this did not fix the issue!

I'd be grateful if someone can help to get this problem solved!

PS: the homepage of the wamp server via localhost is accessible and I can see the PHP info, but when I click the wordpress folder for installation, I have the error message above!

How to open a project in wamps (1 reply)

Hi,

I created a project in wamps in the /www folder called php.dev. In this folder I added a simple index.php file. If I go to php.dev in my browser it just goes to a page that looks like the localhost page. Then under 'You Projects' I can see php.dev but if I click this it just refreshes the page.

How do I view index.php?

PAth changed on resources in drupal site using WAMP (2 replies)

Hi I have WAMP installed on a windows 10 pc it was working perfectly, some how the path got changed on the resources and not sure how to correct it.

I have a drupal 7 install adding images to a page my path should be /sites/images/image.png
but now to get my images to show I have to go to each image and change the path to reflect the root folder of the site.
example:
if my website is in a folder called " mysite" I would have to go and change the path to /mysite/site/images/image.png to see the image now once I move the site to a production server my images wont show because the path were change when on the local host .

If any one knows where to go to correct this I would be much appreciative.

I installed wamp 3.1.0 however when I tap the button to load it online i will leave this message below. the modem ports are open, the firewall is off, how do I do so to access my online site from another adsl?

WampManager doesn't start... (no replies)

Windows 10
Wamp64 3.1.0

Fresh install. Double click on added wampserver icon on desktop... get the windows complimentary "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your system?" I choose yes... a console flash and then nothing.

I go to the wamp64 directory from the console. Do:
$>wampmanager

and same result.

I've deleted and reinstalled all of the VC redistributable installations (2005-latest, 32 and 64 bit versions). Restarted my system after this and still this problem.
How do I debug/fix this?

SSL on WAMPServer - Additional Tips (no replies)

Thank you to RiggsFolly for the tutorial!

My setup:

WAMPServer 3.1.0 (64-bit on a separate partition - g: in my custom installation)
Apache 2.4.29
PHP 7.1.11
MySQL 5.7.20
MariaDB 10.2.10

All of my development sites are running with MariaDB. There are no databases on MySQL. It's just there for fallback, if needed.

In addition to everything in the tutorial, I found out that the socache_shmcb_module also needs to be enabled. To do that, simply left-click the WAMPServer icon in the system notification area, go to Apache | Apache modules | click the 'down arrow' until you see the socache_shmcb_module and left-click the entry. Wait for WAMPServer to process the cmd and automatically restart Apache. If your WAMPServer system tray icon is green and the module has the green checkmark, you are good to go.

I also found a way to run additional sites on SSL. After creating VirtualHosts and the SSL keys and certificates for each site, I added the following code to the end of the httpd-ssl.conf file:

To run sites with the 'www' prefix in SSL, it was not possible to add ServerAlias to the httpd-ssl.conf file. I created SSL keys and certificates for the sites I wanted to run with the 'www' prefix and added the above code for each site to the end of the httpd-ssl.conf file.

If something seems to be not working, run the Command Prompt in Administrator mode with the 'httpd -t' command line to check for errors.

Hello Guys,

Need urgent help.

I have a 32bit desktop where all my website files are running.

Now I am trying to test the website in my laptop which is 64bit. so, I exported the DB from desktop and imported to Laptop.

Bu, now whats happening is, my website runs fine, i can run wamp, run website, and even login only if there are data in DB.

But, I have a signup form,and also Posting functionality. which will be saved in DB. This is happening in desktop all fine.

But when i try to signup from form and click submit. the data is not saving in DB in wamp.

Can I know why is this happening. I need immediately help. because i have to take website live soon.

Please help me easy steps, I am using simple PHP coding in my website

I am getting following error while running Wamp server:

" The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is

missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this

problem. "

- Windows 10 64 bit
- wampserver 3.1.0 32 bit
- apache 2.4.27
- php 5.6.31
- mysql 5.7.19
- wampserver icon green
- I have some errors in my Windows Logs from September, so I'm not sure if that's affecting anything now.
- My hosts file has active 127.0.0.1 localhost
- Yes access to localhost and phpmyadmin
- I have windows defender
- C:\wamp

I just installed Wampserver, however when opening .php files in my browser it just shows the text, it doesn't interpret the php. It is saved under wamp, www.

I went through the Troubleshooting Tips and there's a few things I'm not so clear about which may be the issue for me:


1. I only have one user on my computer, so it is obviously administrator. When I installed wampserver I did not Run as administrator, does that matter even though this user is administrator and it's the only user? If it does matter, could I just reinstall as administrator or do I have to uninstall and then reinstall?

2. My computer is 64 bit. I saw in one place that even if on 64 bit computer, I should still install 32 bit so that's what I did. I then saw somewhere that 64 bit computer should have both. So should I install 64 bit?

3. I believe my system supports IPv6 however I have no clue if my connections do, does it make a difference if this line is inactive in my hosts file? line ::1 localhost

4. If you have any other ideas why it's not working please let me know!

If I'm not able to solve this, I may just uninstall the whole thing, I already wasted so much time and computer energy on this.

I am developing a customer registration system and have successfully sent an email to a gmail account, (yahoo failed). I want to validate the email by clicking a return link in the email. Can the wampserver receive emails as well as send them? If not, is their an alternative solution?
