"My Projects" items in ;WAMPPROJECTSUBMENU are not connecting successfully, and are appearing prepended with www. and appended with .com in the browser URL. The browser (Firefox) then attempts to search online. If not connected online, then error returned, server not found. However, "Your Projects" items on localhost homepage do connect successfully. mod_rewrite is not enabled. How are these items being rewritten and how-to this?

Hey everyone, brand new here and loving it! Just got wordpress installed but I'm stumped on something. Im trying to have wordpress access a folder outside my wamp install on a network drive. Can someone point me in the direction I need? Do I need to setup a virtual host? How do I get a website to access files and folders outside my wamp install?

When I installed Wamp today (7/22/2018) I noticed no matter what I do to open my files, Wamp opens in Edge.

I have followed dozens of examples that state to change the wampmanager.conf file; I did this and my files still open in Edge. I uninstalled and chose Chrome; my files have the Chrome path, but still open in Edge.

I use Notepad++ to edit my files. This just occurred to me; is there something in Notepad++ that is defaulting my opening in Edge? If so, how do I change the settings to open in whatever browser I want and not Edge?

You know you can input the file address directly into the text editor (Notepad++) for example, in the default index.php file, you can enter: // [localhost], this makes it a clickable link that opens the file in a web page.

Before, I was able to click this link and it would open in Internet Explorer, now it opens in Edge. I know I can left-click the Wamp icon in the task bar and have it open in whatever browser I chose, but I want to open the file, from the text editor, into Internet Explorer and not Edge---this is what I want to change.

If anyone has the solution, I will add it with your name to my DIY section of my website

I install logicaldoc software and it need mysql with default engine innodb but i installed in wamp with myisam
how can I change it to innodb
because i changed the tables from myisam to innodb but wheb i create arabic folder first appeare and afer i refresh database it returns to ????

I have a very strange issue with an installation of thirtybees 1.0.5:

This release is working fine when I am testing it on the latest Windows 10 XAMPP (or a Centos Linux server), while not so well on WAMP.
For example, the "Add to cart" (AJAX'ed) button brings up an error in the console log and doesn't load the AJAX layer, while on XAMPP it works flawlessly.
I have been trying to debug this for several days, until I realized it only happens on WAMP (with any WAMP PHP version I tested 5.6, 7, 7.1, 7.2).

Note that when I tested the previous version 1.0.3, it worked fine on both WAMP and XAMPP.

Another (not sure if related) issue on WAMP - I can't load the thirtybees admin/backoffice at all when I am using php 7.2 (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET), while it loads fine on XAMPP with php 7.2 and in WAMP with any version lower than php 7.2
There is also nothing in the error logs that I could find.

Could you please look into this and let me know how to proceed?

Hello Sir, I installed WAMP server but only two services were installed.
wampapache64 service is not running.
On starting the service it is giving error like this:

"Could not execute menu item (internal error)
[exception ] could not performed service action:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"

Please try to resolve

Win 10- Pro 64 bit, v1803, Clean Install. All the recommended C++ redistributables are present 64 and 32 bit versions. Uninstalled Skype and some of the other foolishness that Microsoft bundles.

Running WAMP Server 3.1.3, just downloaded this morning, local...

Apache 2.4.33
PHP 5.6.35
MySQL 5.7.21
Maria DB 10.2.14

The WAMPServer icon in the system tray is green.

Assuming I am reading the instructions in the "All You Need Top Know" post, I create a file folder at the Root of a storage array attached to this computer using File Explorer running as an administrator. I navigate to the WAMPServer Homepage and attempt to "Add a Virtual Host."

I add the name of the Virtual Host on the first line and the path to the virtual host folder on the second like and I get:

( ! ) Warning: fopen(C:\\WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/hosts): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\wamp64\www\add_vhost.php on line 442

Warning: fwrite() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in C:\wamp64\www\add_vhost.php on line 443

and...

Sorry, I missed the last part of the error.

Anyway, my take is that the "Add a Virtual Host" Function does not have permission to modify the "Hosts" file. And I'm sure that whatever it is that I'm failing to do is superficial and something that ought to be obvious.

Can you help me out with this one?
