whenever i'm installing wamp, after the browser and notepad default setup it show that "stop service wampapache64" and "stop service wampmysqld64" and also "mysql8.0.18/data" directory not installed/created during installation
hence generating the problem and not started both of these services by saying "httpd.exe" and "mysqld.exe" application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
I try using several methods but nothing helpful.
I installed mysql and apache separately and both of these working but in wamp these service won't start
please help.

thanks

# Don't modify this line - Instead modify Require of VirtualHost in httpd-vhost.conf
Require local

How to get online the SSL port 443 without changing this in httpd.conf ?

My solution was changing to
Require all granted

If this is not recommended

Where to do the change? In Previous version there was a online or offline icon and in virtual host it worked but same is not working in wamp 3.2

Selected PHP modules not found (2 replies)

I downloaded and installed WAMP 3.2.0 on Windows10.
I selected the oci8_12c and pdo_oci modules for PHP 7.3.12 and restart WAMP.
The phpinfo() said the modules are not loaded.
In the PHP error log I found:
"
[22-Dec-2019 18:54:16 UTC] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'pdo_oci' (tried: D:/PrgWrt/wamp64/bin/php/php7.3.12/ext/pdo_oci (A megadott modul nem található.), D:/PrgWrt/wamp64/bin/php/php7.3.12/ext/php_pdo_oci.dll (A megadott modul nem található.)) in Unknown on line 0

"
("A megadott modul nem található." means "The selected module not found" in hungarian.)

But both the modules (php_pdo_oci.dll and php_oci8_12c.dll) there are in the "ext" directory.

What is wrong? What can i do to solve this?
(Sorry for my english.)

wampserver or joomla issue? (no replies)

I have a joomla site on hostgator and lately joomla has notified that PHP 7.1 is out of date. PHP 7.2 was not available in the cpanel so I got tech support to edit the htaccess file to upgrqade to PHP 7.2 or 7.3. After 3 attempts the site did not work after the upgrade. Tech support advised the issue is with joomla. I have used wampserver on and off for a number of years so I installed it on my PC which some months ago I had upgraded to win10. I did a fresh install of wampserver and used Akeeba backup to establish the latest backup of my site. Wampserver starts fine, goes green and I can access the default localhost and phpMyadmin but it will not load my site. I have gone through most everything in the troubleshooting tips and the Akeeba creates the htaccess.txt file. I am wondering if in fact the issues with the PHP version. I have tried changing to the PHP version in wampserver 5.6, 7.2 and 7.2 none resolve the issue. On Hostgator my site works fine with PHP 7.1 and it is not available to me in wamp. Is there a way to make 7.1 available in wamp and is there anything else I should check?

Unable to change PHP versions with Apache (3 replies)

Hi there,

Been a bit perplexed here (nothing about anyone of the developers who've made this amazing package or anyone on here haha) can't seem to find the section in the configs of the services on the taskbar to change PHP versions, am I missing something, mind you it does have the option to delete unused PHP versions.

How would I go about activating them then would that make the PHP section in the menu like where the wamp settings are to clear logs etc?

I am a bit confused as to where to go from here tried about 10 searches online as I hate wasting peoples time.

I do look forward to anyones response in advance, just a bit baffled here lol.

Thanks again,
Jeremy

Unresponsive Wamp system tray icon on drive different than C: (1 reply)

Hello. I've been trying to install Wampserver on my netbook all day. I've been trying to install it on my D: drive, since it has a lot more space than my C: drive (which is where I have Windows installed). It installs everything just fine, the system tray icon was even green from the get go; but it's completely unresponsive to my left and right clicks and I'm not able to bring up the menus. To my surprise, when I tried installing it on my C drive, the left and right click menus worked just as intended. What could be the problem? I also noticed that on my D: drive install, when trying to run wampmanager, this error appears several times on the php.exe cmd for half a second, which might or not be related to the issue:

[25-Dec-2019 02:11:36 UTC] PHP Warning: symlink(): Cannot create symlink, error code(1) in D:\wamp\scripts\wampserver.lib.php on line 159
[25-Dec-2019 02:11:37 UTC] PHP Warning: symlink(): Cannot create symlink, error code(1) in D:\wamp\scripts\wampserver.lib.php on line 178

I wasn't able to find anything on Google about this issue, and PHP stuff is completely beyond me. Does anyone have any clue what the issue might be? If it's any help, I'm running Wampserver 3.2.0 32 bits on Windows 7, also 32 bits.

Thank you, and happy holidays.

He actualizado WampServer desde la versión 3.1.4 a la versión 3.2.0 pero ahora no muestra "Tus proyectos" o en inglés "Your projects" como links y otra PC tengo instalada la versión 3.1 y si los muestra como links

I can't see clickable icons under “Your Projects” in my Wamp localhost dashboard (no replies)

I have installed a fresh version of WAMP (Version 3.2.0 - 64bit), and on my localhost page under "Your Projects" category I see only names of projects, but it is not clickable (no yellow directory icons).

It suggests me to create a new virtual host for each project, I have never done such a thing in the previous versions. I already have default virtual host "Localhost" and it works fine when I type the path into the browser, the only problem is I can't start or search through my project via dashboard because there are no clickable icons.

By the way, I have created a virtual host and the problem with the folder's icons remains.

Changing MySQL Version doesn't change Service exe (1 reply)

Hi,

I have a problem, that when select MySQL v8.0.18 from the WAMP MySQL Version Menu it goes through the process of stopping the service and restarting, however when i look at the executable path for the wampmysqld64 service it still points to my previous MySQL v5.7.23 version.

The only way i can get this to work, is if i select v8.0.18, allow it to go through its process where it thinks it has changed, then unselecting the 'Allow MySQL' option from the Wamp Settings menu (which deletes the wampmysqld64 service). Then once i've restarted all services (excluding Wamp) i select 'Allow MySQL' and it will create the service pointing to the correct MySQL Path.

However, once i've done this i still can't use the version selection to go back to v5.7.23 (and basically have to repeat the process above).

I can't find any errors in the logs. MySQL Server works fine (i.e. can log in and do normal SQL activities)

Localhost does state the MySQL Version is 8.0.18 even though the service running is from the 5.7.23 bin folder, and attempting to connect to it with a client confirms the version is indeed still v5.7.23

Why must I specify a port for MySQL access on full install (no replies)

I recently installed WampServer 3.2 64-bit full install after installing the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable libraries from [wampserver.aviatechno.net]

Thanks for providing the direct links on the above site and providing the Tool to check if the VC++ packages needed to Wampserver 3 are installed correctly. Very useful

The following are the answers requested

1 - Windows version used (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit) - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
2 - Version WampServer (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit) - WampServer 3.2 64-bit full install
3 - Apache Version - 2.4.41
4 - PHP Version - PHP 7.4.0
5 - MySQL Version - MySQL 5.7.28
5a - MariaDB version if applicable
6 - What color is the WampServer icon (in the notification area of the taskbar) - green
8 - Do you have access to localhost (Homepage WampServer)? - yes
8a - If so, is there an error message at the bottom of the page? - no
9 - Do you have access to phpMyAdmin? - yes
10 - If you refer to an error message, please include the EXACT wording of the error in your post
11 - If you use an Antivirus and / or Firewall, please include the names of these McAfee Small Business Security
12 - What is the full path to the installation of WampServer (eg D:\wamp\) - d:\wamp64
13 - If you have one or more Virtual Hosts defined, please show their definition(s)

I initially was not able to access MySQL from my web application (TNG) without specifying 3308 as the port.

I was also getting
Address Not Found for www.localhost.com

which I finally resolved by changing the about:config for SeaMonkey based on the following entry that I found in stackoverflow pertaining to Firefox redirecting to www.localhost.com

[stackoverflow.com]

I was also getting Connection Interrupted error on a specific script, that I was able to resolve by adding the following to the end of httpd.conf to increase the Apache stack size to 8MB.

<IfModule mpm_winnt_module>
ThreadStackSize 8388608
</IfModule>

based on another stackoverflow entry

[stackoverflow.com]

In my attempts to resolve why my script was not running, I ended up uninstalling WampServer 3.2 and installing my previous full install of WampServer 3.1.7

My question is why does WampServer 3.2 require a port specification to access the MySQL database when it was not required on the full install of 3.1.7 64-bit nor is it required when upgrading 3.1.7 to 3.1.9 and then 3.2?

Why is the ThreadStackSize entry not included in the WampServer httpd.conf?

Thanks for making it easier to check that one has all the required Visual C++ modules and for making it easier to define the Virtual Hosts.

While trying to test setting up an online server, I ran into an issue where I would receive a 403 error when my httpd-vhosts.conf is configured as so and I accessed the site as myip:81/testonline. However, when I change the require line in the localhost section to "Require all granted", I do not have this error and able to access my site in the same manner. I wouldn't like to leave it this way as this gives access to my localhost site. Is there a way to fix this?

Browsing through similar forum topics, it seems that this issue is unique to me which makes me think it may be due to my httpd.conf settings, however I do not know where to look within the file, or what to change. It could also be my own misunderstanding of how to access my site while it is online.

Additionally, while I followed the instructions given in the sticky topic, I am not sure if my virtual host is set up correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

EXACT error message:
I’m trying to install DaDaBik – a php form builder using MS sqlserver as my database engine
When I key in [localhost] I get the following error:

( ! ) Error: Undefined class constant 'SQLSRV_ATTR_ENCODING' in C:\wamp64\www\magnal\include\config.php on line 1072

The actual lines in config.php that trigger the error are:
if ($dbms_type === 'sqlserver'){
// MS SQL Server unicode connection encoding
$sqlserver_conn_additional_attributes[PDOSQLSRV_ATTR_ENCODING] = PDOSQLSRV_ENCODING_UTF8;
}
The forum editor is messing up the PDOSQL strings which actually have double colons between PDO and SQLSRV in the original file.
Thanks
